This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color.
All links are soldered shut.
This stone, along with all the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach!
The majority of these rock are basalt.
We may have drilled or cut them in half, but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated.
They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen.
I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect.
Each piece is unique.
This pendant has a dark grey round rock trapped between two different patterned sheets of silver that have been domed to form a pocket. They are riveted together with loops that the chain slides through. The pattern on one side is wood grain and the other is a pebble texture. It is on a snake chain with a lobster clasp.
This sale is for this item pictured. I have made this style before, but each one is different and a different size.
The chain measures approx 18 inches and the pendant is about 1 1/2 inches long by 1 3/4 inch wide.
